Assassin's Creed Mirage

The next Assassin's Creed game promises to be a really intriguing one, dialling back the scope and narrowing things down to a single city instead of a huge country or archipelago like recent entries.
We'll play as Basim, who played a big role in Valhalla, and it would seem that the game is going back to the series' roots a little, with more stealth and a tad less combat.
Forza Motorsport

The next Forza game is looking absolutely jaw-dropping in terms of fidelity, and it's clear that this will end up being one of the best-looking racing games ever made.
Tracks will be more detailed than ever with dynamic lighting, while customisation and damage modelling also look like they'll add news layers to this simulation series.
Lords of the Fallen

We didn't necessarily expect another game in the series, but Lords of the Fallen is coming back with a reboot that looks like it might bear real fruit. This is a visually striking Souls-like game that will feature challenging combat and some crazy environments.
We've already seen some crazy enemy designs, so it's clear that there will be plenty of twisted stuff to uncover in its gothic fantasy world.
Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake is back, but this time we won't just be playing as the tortured writer, but also as an FBI agent who's investigating his disappearance years later - it looks like a really interesting concept.
Remedy says the game is the scariest it's ever made, which is really saying something, so we can't wait to see how frightening its survival horror can get.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Captain Price and the team are back with another likely explosive campaign in Modern Warfare 3, following on directly from last year's terror-fighting adventure.
This time we're getting a really smooth continuation from Modern Warfare 2, with all guns and unlocks carrying over, but there are some changes to the gameplay side. Zombies also returns for a nice bonus mode.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

The first Space Marine came out a decent while ago, but was a well-like third-person action and shooter that felt like a nice way into the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Now, it's finally getting a sequel, and from the glimpses of gameplay at the end of the announcement trailer, it should be a bloody good time.

An iconic franchise returns with this reboot of Alone in the Dark, set in the American deep south, and summoning very creepy vibes if the reveal trailer is anything to go by.
It'll feature two playable characters to play through the same campaign with, played by Jodie Comer and David Harbour - meaning you might want to play it twice.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

We're finally ready to get back into a Rocksteady game, years after it last dropped some Batman goodness into our laps. This game will let players take on the roles of a few nasty pieces of work in the Suicide Squad, tasked with taking down corrupted versions of the Justice League's heroes.
Star Wars Outlaws

This looks like it could follow up Jedi: Survivor as the next big Star Wars hit, with a true open world for seemingly the first time in a Star Wars game and a thrilling heist story to tell.
With a gameplay showcase to enjoy and a thrilling first trailer that you can see above, it looks like Ubisoft could hit this one out of the park.
Avowed

Avowed is the next big RPG from one of the masters of the genre - Obsidian. It's a classic fantasy-style setting with an epic storyline to make your way through, rife with the sorts of meaningful decisions that the studio has made its forte.
The game will apparently be similar to The Outer Worlds in its scope, so should be easier to get through than some other gargantuan RPGs, which is music to our ears.
Marathon

Bungie is back with another shooter, one with a visual style that's absolutely awesome and will bring the development studio to a new genre - the extraction shooter.
This tense setup sees you going into contested areas, trying to gather resources and loot then extract without dying and losing everything, and we can't wait to see how Bungie makes it work.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The return of Metal Gear Solid is always a big event, even if it's a remake rather than a fresh new entry, although recent reimaginings of classics suggest that it could go pretty far off-piste if Konami decides it wants to.
The game is a storied one, with some of the most memorable boss fights and stealth encounters ever, so it'll be fascinating to play it again when it comes out.
Dragon's Dogma 2

This is the return of a franchise we didn't honestly think we'd see again - a cult classic that didn't sell buckets but got a better reputation as time passed and people realised how innovative it was.
Expect intricate combat that lets you clamber all over bigger enemies, loads of NPCs you can recruit to help you as pawns and a weird, gritty fantasy story.
Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight was a masterpiece from an indie studio, offering up a simply brilliant metroidvania action game of exploration and growth with a real challenge at its heart. The long-awaited sequel, Silksong, will be on Game Pass when it launches, which should be music to the ears of any keen indie gamer.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II

Ninja Theory's first Senua game - Hallblade: Senua's Sacrifice - not only wowed with its almost photorealistic graphics but the clever, well-informed grasp on mental health issues was much lauded. The sequel looks even more stunning, based on a trailer made entirely using the in-game engine. The action-adventure will apparently be available on the older=generation Xbox, but we suspect it'll be the Series X version everyone will be talking about.
Fable

A beloved franchise is returning with the as-yet simply-titled Fable, bringing players back to Albion and its topsy-turvy world of moral extremes. The teaser we got gives us almost nothing to go on, but we're sure it'll promise much more witty humour and fantasy tropes.
Wonder Woman

Diana Prince is finally getting a proper mainstream videogame adaptation, likely as a result of the recognition factor that Gal Gadot's movie version has garnered. We can't wait to learn more about what the game will bring to the table.

The next game from Quantic Dream will be a story-driven multi-character Star Wars adventure set during the High Republic era, and while the trailer above has plenty of vivid imagery we don't know a huge amount about the story this game will try to tell.
State of Decay 3

The State of Decay franchise lives on, and will drop its third iteration on Xbox Series X - the first trailer looks absolutely amazing, even if it's got no gameplay to share. It looks like animals are getting infected, though, which could be a game-changer when it comes to making your way around. Hopefully, we'll learn more soon.
The Outer Worlds 2

If you're going to make a trailer that contains almost no details, you might as well poke fun at yourself while you do, as this great announcement teaser for The Outer Worlds 2 manages. We'll doubtless find out plenty more about the game down the line but, for now, it's great to know that it's on the way.
The Elder Scrolls 6

We've not heard a peep about The Elder Scrolls 6 since its tease at E3 2018. However, after the massive news of Bethesda being bought entirely by Microsoft, we know that when it does eventually appear, it'll be on Game Pass from day one, and could even be an Xbox exclusive.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
